Once you have registered as a site user with the British Psychological Society (sign up if you haven’t yet registered), you can personalise your experience of PsychSource.

You only need to register once, but now you can select areas and topics of interest to you by editing your web profile in your BPS user account. Click on ‘My BPS Account’ (top right of any PsychSource page) or on 'My Account' (top right of any BPS main website page) – if it’s not showing, you need to sign in), then on your user account main page click on ‘Personalise your online experience with the BPS' then scroll down to the list, where you can select as many interests and topics as you like. (Note that if you are a BPS member and also a member of a Division or Section, these particular interests will be automatically selected for you, but you can select more.)

Within PsychSource your selections are used to suggest journals, books and other content that might interest you. These will be displayed on the PsychSource home page under ‘You might be interested in…’. You can scroll through the suggestions, which link straight to where you can find out more. The display of suggested content is dynamic and will change each time you visit the site or refresh the page.

Your personalised web profile will also enhance your experience of other BPS websites.
